Morning Owl Farm is a sustainable and natural produce farm eight miles from the heart of Idaho's capitol city. Overlooking the Boise River on Hammer Flat, we incorporate the best practices in sustainable agriculture to provide member CSA subscriptions and produce for local restaurants and other wholesale outlets. Established in 2004, Morning Owl has always been a source for quality food in the Boise community. The farm has undergone changes but one thing remains proud and true; the growth of fresh food. Here at Morning Owl, we do not use any synthetic sprays, fertilizers, or chemicals to feed our plants or control weeds and bugs. Genetically modified seeds or plant starts are never planted in our ground. With these sustainable practices, you can be assured quality.
Dan began working on the farm in 2010 as an apprentice under Mary Rohlfing. In 2012, Dan took over the business and has been the solo farmer since then. The next chapter in Morning Owl Farm will be to join up with some fresh hands to reboot the CSA and reinvigorate the farm.
Tim is deeply passionate about local fresh food. Participating in many outlets throughout the Boise community, he is driven to raise awareness of the importance of local businesses to sustain local economy and local bellies. Tim brings with him a deep knowledge of sustainable practices and is ready to put them in the ground!
