Eaters exchange shares at the Morning Owl Farm Market, open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-7 pm, for freshly harvested vegetables grown at our own & other local, certified organic farms. Shares may also be redeemed for: local, in-season fruit; Ballard Family Dairy cheeses; duck eggs; organic, whole wheat pizza crusts; Quack Quiche and fresh-cut flowers!

BACK TO BASICS 

Served June through mid-October . . .

In 2004, Morning Owl Farm introduced the area’s first farm delivery subscription service. This subscription addresses many of the difficulties folks have with the traditional CSA model. Here’s how it works. You buy a share and get enough of whatever veggies and fruit are growing that week to feed four. We allow you 20-weeks from which to chose your 16-weeks of delivery. If you’re out of town for two weeks, no problem, because you have 20-weeks from which to chose your 16 deliveries. If you have too much food in the fridge, don’t take delivery that week and wait until next. All that convenience and more for a very reasonable fee. We bring the food to you! No more trying to remember to get to the drop spot on time. Just set out a cooler on delivery day and come home to great farm-fresh produce! 

$500 for sixteen deliveries that feed 3-4 adults 

 

 

MEAT & POTATOES 

Served Year-Round . . .

We bring locally-raised, pasture-fed meat to you, and you to veggies . . . fruit . . . cheese . . . eggs . . . and . . . . We bring you monthly deliveries of locally-raised and inspection facility-processed meats (pork, beef & chicken), while you, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from May through October, shop at our Morning Owl Farm Market for the vegetables, fruit, cheese, eggs & more that you want. In November, February, June, August & October, receive a 15-pound box of frozen, pasture-raised, grass-fed beef of varying cuts brought right to your door. In November, December, January, February, May, July, September and October, receive one whole, frozen pasture-raised chicken. In December, March, May, July and September, we bring you a 10-pound box of various cuts, grass-fed pork. These are meat producers we call “friends.” We’ve visited their farms and we’ve seen where these meats are processed and inspected. This is the meat our families eat. But we know you can’t live on meat alone, so this subscription also provides you $225 worth of shares to redeem at Morning Owl Farm Market from May through October. Use your shares for whatever is for sale. You may start this subscription any month you like.

Meat, Just Meat

Served Year-round

A lot of you grow your own gardens, shop at local farmers’ markets, or have CSA subscriptions at one of the area’s other outstanding subscription-based farms. Still, you want local meat, but don’t have space for huge quantities, or time to trot about tracking down pork here, beef there or chicken somewhere else. For you, we created a subscription that brings you the same amount of meat on the schedule referred to above in our “Meat & Potatoes.” For this one, too: we deliver!

$1250 (May be paid in three installments. If you want more or less or none of something, let us know; we can accommodate you)

So, you see some of what you like and some of what you don’t. You know what you want to spend. You just can’t figure out how to make it all work.
